If you're currently on our Gold plan, you'll need to upgrade to access this integration.
Requirements
Before setting up the integration, ensure you have:
- A Big Cartel shop on a paid plan
- An active Printify account with at least one shop
How It Works
The Magic Behind the Scenes
Once connected, our integration creates a seamless bridge between your Printify account and Big Cartel shop:
- Product Sync: Your Printify products automatically appear in your Big Cartel shop with all details, images, and variants
- Order Processing: When customers buy from your shop, orders are automatically sent to Printify for fulfillment
- Shipping Updates: Tracking information flows back to your shop and customers automatically
Printify Processing Options
Printify offers different automation settings for order processing:
- Immediate Processing: Orders are fulfilled automatically (great for established products)
- 1-Hour Delay: Brief review window before automatic fulfillment
- 24-Hour Delay: Full day to review orders before processing
- Manual Review: You approve each order individually
You can adjust these settings in your Printify account based on your comfort level and business needs.
Getting Started with Printify
1. Access the Integration
- Log in to your Big Cartel admin dashboard and navigate to the Apps section
- Scroll down to the Product sourcing & creation section and select Printify
2. Connect Your Accounts
- Click Get Started to begin the connection process
- You'll be redirected to Printify to authorize the connection
- Log in to your Printify account and approve the connection
3. Select Your Printify Shop
- Choose which Printify shop you want to connect to (if you have multiple)
- This determines which products will sync to your Big Cartel shop
4. Initial Product Sync
- The integration will begin syncing your existing Printify products
- Depending on your catalog size, this may take a few minutes
- You'll see a confirmation screen showing the sync progress
5. Review and Customize
- Once synced, review your products in your Big Cartel admin
- You can edit product details, descriptions, and pricing in Big Cartel
- Changes made in Big Cartel won't sync back to Printify
Managing Your Integration
Product Synchronization
What Syncs:
- Product titles and descriptions
- Product images (up to plan limit)
- Size and color variants
- Base pricing from Printify
- Product categories and tags
Ongoing Updates:
- New products created in Printify automatically appear in your Big Cartel shop
- Changes made in Printify (like new variants or updated images) sync to Big Cartel
- Products deleted in Printify are automatically removed from your Big Cartel shop
Important Note: Edits made in Big Cartel don't sync back to Printify. This gives you control over your storefront presentation while maintaining Printify as your product source.
Order Fulfillment Process
For Your Customers:
- The customer places an order in your Big Cartel shop
- They receive an order confirmation email from Big Cartel

- All communication maintains your shop's branding
Behind the Scenes:
- Order details are automatically sent to Printify
- Printify processes order based on your automation settings
- Once shipped, order status updates in Big Cartel
- Tracking information is automatically added to the order

Disconnecting the Integration
Disconnecting the Integration
If you need to disconnect your Printify integration:
- Go to the Apps section in the Big Cartel admin
- Find the Printify integration
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the disconnection
Important: Disconnecting will:
- Stop new order processing through Printify
- Keep existing products in your Big Cartel shop (but they won't fulfill)
- Remove automatic sync functionality
- Preserve your Big Cartel shop design and settings
