It's no secret video is a great way to build a better connection with your audience, express who you are, and show off the amazing things you have on offer. Whether you're telling your story or demonstrating how to wrap yourself in a human-sized burrito (or both!), it's pretty easy to embed a video in your store. Here's how!
Embedding a video on the home page
Sellers using Cosmos, Ranger, Roadie, Luna, Lunch Break, Foundry, and Trace themes can automatically embed videos on the homepage by simply adding the video URL (YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, or direct video links) in the admin!
It's a great way to showcase your products, tell your brand’s story, or share behind-the-scenes content. This update has been especially popular with bands and musicians—something many have been asking for, and for good reason!
If you aren’t using one of the above template, contact support for help adding a video to your shop’s homepage.
Embedding a video on a custom page
- Upload your video to a hosting service like Youtube or Vimeo and copy the provided embed code.
- Head over to Shop settings > Shop designer, then click into the Pages section.
- Click the page you want your video to display on, or create a new page by clicking the + icon.
- Select the insert/edit media icon from the Page toolbar.
- Paste your embed code into the editor where you’d like your video to display.
- Click Done and Publish and you're all set!
