Shareable Carts is a feature that adds a shareable link to your shop's cart page, making it easy for you and your customers to share a shopping cart with products. When someone clicks the shared link, it automatically recreates the exact cart with all products and quantities intact.
How it works
When a customer adds items to their cart, a shareable link appears on the cart page. This link works like a snapshot, capturing the exact products and quantities in the cart at that moment.
- On desktop:
- Customers can click to copy the link to their clipboard
- On mobile:
- Tapping the share button opens their device's native share sheet for easy sharing across apps

Using Share Cart
- Requirements:
- Your shop must be using the latest version of your template
- At least one item must be in the cart for the share link to appear
- Works with all templates except Netizen - For sellers:
- Add desired products to cart
- Use the share link to create product bundles or recommendations
- Include the link in your marketing materials, social media, or email newsletters or even in 1:1 communication with customers
- Note: Buyers will have to begin checkout to be able to apply discounts or see automatic discounts apply to their cart - For shoppers:
- Add products to cart
- Click/tap the share button on the cart page
- Share the link through their preferred method

- Create product bundles:
Curate complementary products that work well together and share the cart link in your marketing materials. - Combine with discounts:
- Diamond plan sellers: Set up automatic discounts that apply when customers use your shared cart links

Important notes
- This feature is available to all Big Cartel sellers at no additional cost.
- Cart links capture the cart state at the time of sharing. Any changes made to the cart afterward won't be reflected in previously shared links.
- The system checks for product availability and stock levels when someone uses a shared link.
- Cart links are based on product and product variant IDs. So if you remove products from your shop and re-add them, they will have a new ID and existing links will not work to add that item
