Before you start

Before connecting Printful to your shop, make sure:

• Your Big Cartel shop is active
• You have or are ready to create a Printful account
• You have artwork or product ideas ready to upload

A paid Big Cartel plan is required to connect and use the Printify integration.

Steps For connecting Printful to your shop

How to use Printful (creating and selling products)

Step 1: Create a product

• In Printful, click Create product
• This opens the product catalog

Browse categories like:

• Apparel
• Hats
• Phone cases
• Home goods

Select a product and click Start designing

Step 2: Design your product

• Upload your own designs or use Printful’s built-in tools
• Adjust placement, size, and layout
• Preview your product

When ready, click Continue

Step 3: Set pricing

• Set your retail price
• Review Printful’s base cost
• Adjust profit margins

Click Continue

Step 4: Publish to your shop

• Edit product name and description (optional)
• Click Publish

Your product will:

• Sync to your Big Cartel shop
• Appear in your product list

Step 5: Confirm in Big Cartel

• Go to your product list
• Make sure the product appears correctly
• Make any final edits if needed

Step 6: Repeat and build your catalog

• Continue creating products in Printful
• Manage them under My Products in Printful

Setting up shipping with Printful

Printful shipping rates do not automatically sync with Big Cartel.

To set up shipping:

1. Go to Shop Settings → Shipping
2. Use your primary shipping profile
3. Add rates based on Printful’s shipping table
4. Test checkout to confirm accuracy

Important areas in Printful

• Store settings → Control how orders are processed
• Store tab → View your connected Big Cartel shop
• Orders dashboard → Track fulfillment status
