We’ve given the Big Cartel admin a fresh new look — and it’s more than just a facelift. This update lays the groundwork for the future of Big Cartel, with improvements that will make your day-to-day selling smoother and more powerful.

Consider this our gift to you for being part of the Big Cartel community!  For now, you’ll have access to both versions: the older Classic admin and the new admin. Think of it as a transition period where you can manage your shop in either one while getting familiar with the new experience.

This guide will help you locate instructions in our Help articles and show you how to easily navigate between both versions.

Switching Between Admins

• When logged into your shop at my.bigcartel.com, you’ll land in the Classic Admin by default.
• To try the new admin experience, look for the orange banner at the top that says “Get ready for a new Big Cartel experience. Check it out.” Click Check it out to switch.
• If you need to go back to Classic, under Shop Settings in the new admin — you’ll see a small banner with a link to “Go back to Classic.”
• You can switch between the two at any time.

Finding Instructions in Help Articles

In our Help Center, you’ll see two tabs at the top of many articles:

• New Admin (Web) → step-by-step instructions with updated vNext screenshots.
• Classic Admin (Web) → instructions for sellers still using the Classic Admin.

Switch between the tabs depending on which version of the admin you’re in.
