Email Verification

We ask that you verify your email when you sign up for a new shop with us to make sure you can receive all the shop communications needed to run your shop successfully.

This helps ensure you can receive important messages like order notifications, messages from your customers, password resets, and account updates for your shop.

Is your email spelled correctly?

Sometimes a simple misspelling can cause a big headache! Double-check that for mistakes like or @gmail.con.

Are you able to receive email at the address you’re using?

Are you using your own email address? We love aspirational emails, but you need to use an email account to which you have access. You don’t get a custom email when you sign up for a Big Cartel shop, so be sure you can send and receive mail with the email address you’re using at sign up and not a email address. If you've got a custom email, then you can definitely use it! Just be sure it’s active and can receive the email verification message we'll send you before you complete your sign-up.

Did you check your spam or promo folders?

Sometimes emails can get caught in spam filters, so if you're not seeing the verification email in your inbox, you'll want to check your other folders. It may have been routed to a different folder by your email provider, so you may need to check around.

Still not getting the verification email?

You’ll need to reach out to [email protected] so we can check it out for you. If your emails are bouncing back, our system will stop sending messages to you, so we'll need to reset our mail logs and you can try that email verification process again.
