This roundup features the shops with the pops, the goods that could, the vendors with the most splendor, and the stores with just that little bit more.
What we love: Libri Finti Clandestini is a satirical collective from Italy inspired by the concept of recycling. We love their unique pop-up books, notebooks and diaries, and mission of selling people back their own garbage. Also, check out how they use gifs to show off their pop-up books and various printed pages.
Thanks to Mollie from our Support team for the tip!
What we love: Nick White of London, England, is an artist, lecturer, musician, and an anagram of "Thick Wine." According to his About Page, "He makes his work using parts of his body such as his Brain (ideas), his Fingers and Thumbs (cutting, sticking, drawing, painting etc) and usually his Eyes." We love his humor, attention to detail, and sheer quality of his work.
What we love: Kawaii Doodles Club, created by Isra Seyd of Barcelona, has an awesome selection of colorful pins, patches, notebooks, and other accessories. We recommend following along on Instagram with 125,000 of Isra's closest friends for killer videos of his creative process as he draws on his iPad.
What we love: Jack Vanzet is a creative director and multidisciplinary artist from Melbourne, Australia. His shop features prints of his paintings that make up just a fraction of his creative output. Jack works across all disciplines including art direction, graphic design, illustration, and branding, and also releases music under the name Thrupence. Busy boy!
What we love: CHIAOZZA, pronounced like wow-za or yow-za, is a Brooklyn-based art and design studio founded by Terri Chiao and Adam Frezza. With a background in architecture and fine arts respectively, the duo makes playful objects for everyday life. Check out their Futility Nubbin sculptures made from utilitarian materials such as pigmented cement, tread tape, colored rubber tubes, and rubber coating. Also, say CHIAOZZA out loud and try not to smile.
